Liadan Maire Gunter

Neuroscientist + Behavioral Change Consultant

Liadan is cross-cultural neuroscientist and anthropologist turned entrepreneur who coaches and educates individuals and members of organizations in rewiring their brains for behavior change using neuroscience based tools.

Liadan has a BA in neuroscience from Boston University and a MSc in Research in Behavior and Cognition. She has spent significant time studying social behavior, decision making, learning and memory, neurodegenerative diseases, and synaptic plasticity. She is particularly interested in how synaptic plasticity allows us to create changes not only in thoughts, but behaviors that can be utilized to create a better everyday life.

Liadan has a multicultural background, where she was raised in 3 countries, has lived in 5, and speaks 3 languages. She brings this diverse perspective into her coaching to foster an open and compassionate environment, but still encourage growth, and diverse ways of thinking.

After leaving basic neuroscience research to study the social dynamics of wild chimpanzees in Uganda, Liadan wanted to help make scientific findings more accessible to people.

She believes that if people can understand their surroundings, the way that environments shape behavior, and how our brains work that this will allow individuals to be able to making lasting changes. She believes that the more people who show up in their potential, the more it can help create a better, more tolerant world.
